Id consider myself as a fairly competitive person. If you are reading this thread, chances are you may be too.

I used google to look for a top 100 Eco Dashboard Ranking but came up empty. I dont know if Ill ever make the top 10 so it would be nice if Toyota released a top 100 list.

I didnt realize this before but the ranking changes the first of every month. I thought this was a lifetime average but its not. The first of this month everyone was tied for 1st haha.

If you dont know what the heck Eco Dashboard is then go here. ECO Dashboard

Considering I knocked Priuskitty for creating an official base pip thread, we will see how long this thread lasts before he mocks me for starting such a stupid thread... lol

I had the top spot for a little while (my car is called "mine!") but fell way down the list when I was forced to take a bunch of longer than my EV range trips. Now I can't even get the Entune app to work on my new phone. It worked fine with iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 but it crashes on the iPhone 5.

BTW you can change your car's name to something non-generic by logging into the Entune site. Can't remember off-hand where I renamed it, but it's there somewhere if you poke around enough.

Without trying to look too much like a noob, where can I find this top 10 list?

Eco Dashboard is one of the hybrid apps in Entune for the Advanced trim. I don't think there is a website to view it outside of the app.

Limiting it to the Advanced trim is going to limit the amount of data. One would think Toyota would love the extra data.

I guess Fuelly will fill that need tho.

Is there any reason the non-advanced can't do this (other than the missing apps?) Is the hardware different, or is it just the internet connection that's missing? Since you can fix the missing internet connection with a smart phone, I'm puzzled as to why they left this off the base model (besides trying to get people to buy the advanced).

If there is no hardware limitation, it seems like the kind of thing that might get changed in a software update if enough people pester Toyota about it ;)

The Advanced apps (including the ECO dashboard) use the built-in SafetyConnect cell phone, which is only in the Advanced. When you run the Advanced apps, your phone is talking to a server, which in turn makes a data call to the SafetyConnect phone in the car to get the information. The Bluetooth/USB connection between the car and the phone is not used; the advanced apps are typically used when you are not near the car (like the Vehicle Locator!).

Ok, I get that. And I can see where most of the advanced apps involve being able to talk to the car when you are not in it. It doesn't seem like there is any reason the eco dashboard has to function this way though. Is there any reason the car couldn't just store the data, and upload it when the internet connection becomes available through the bluetooth/usb connection? Connecting to wifi when you get home would have been nice too ;)

My fuel consumption ranking was bouncing between 13th and 14th the past 2 weeks and right now I am 12th.

My ECO Driving Score right now is Ranking 51st.

I don't watch it often though because to me, the fuel consumption ranking is useless. I mean, take one weekend roadtrip and there goes your good ranking. If you do ultra short trips all month and get 999.9 you get 1st place? I'd rather get out of the house and take a road trip and be 50th, 200th etc... Just me.

That being said, I'm heading to Lancaster this weekend for a family getaway so good bye rankings lol.

I agree. I have family about 2 hours away and I have taken many hour long trips this month. Sucks. Just when my ranking really starts climbing, I need to go out of town and it drops again.

Delete the application (Entune) from your phone and then go to the app store and reinstall the application. It will work fine then.
