I may have confused myself and compared a 2011 La Crosse to the 2013 La Crosse eAssist.

    Compare Side-by-Side

Not more car companies in the future, but more higher quality, efficient vehicles and hybrids will come to market.
GM has, does, and will continue to compete with itself.

Especially with its' shoddy past, which will take a enormous amount of energy, time, and money to turn itself around.

Most importantly, it MUST win the attention of buyers AND increase market share that GM let erode away.

I believe Toyota just overtook GM as the global leader in car manufacturing with VW/Audi close behind in third place. My dad was a loyal GM buyer for multiple decades but finaly started buying Toyotas later in his life. He just got so burned by GM on quality that you just don't recover from those type of nightmares. That experience resinated in me and I never purchased a new American car in my life. I'm not proud of that but to me a car is such an expensive purchase why throw good money at bad. Always Honda and Toyota. I did purchase a BMW and kept it for 7 years and it was a GM type of nightmare. When you purchase a BMW new and it burns a quart of oil in 10,000 miles you know you got a shoddy car. Perhaps GM is a new company and I do hope so for all those high paying jobs that help our economy. But I'm always looking out for myself #1.

I'd buy a GM product before I'd ever buy another VW product.

Agreed. VW is just a problem waiting to happen.

If there's a problem with VW's hybrid, they'll do what they always do and blame the customer.
