    Well, it's official. Papers are signed.

    I bought a silver PiP from NJ and will be picking it up on June 4th.

    Thanks to everyone that I've learned a ton from already. I'm sure I will learn a lot more once I start driving it.

    Congrats. I was in the same boat (Colorado), but got a decent deal on getting one trucked from Seattle. Very happy with how it all has worked out. I do occasional 50-mile drives so I will not be able to get 1000 miles on one tank, but I think I should be able to get 800+ (on the 10.6 mile tank). Warning: It is tricky to always remember to plug it in! I rigged it so that I walk into the wire on my way from garage to house.

    I drove cross country in a Honda Civic in the 80's. I enjoyed the drive. Stopped in a few places and took my time.

    If you haven't already, watch this video a couple or more times Max MPG Driving Techniques Youtube Video | PriusChat To get the most out of your plug-in you really need to know the tricks for best mileage when you run out of that over-night charge. Also you need to consider when it might be a good idea to switch to HV operation to save the battery energy for use where it is most efficient.

    While I like the idea of you posting the helpful link, I'm not sure you realize that Mark is an advanced hypermiler. :)
