I see where you can reset the oil change monitor but I can't actually find the monitor? I see that I can set my own personal monitor in the infotainment - is that the only place?

If so - just set it to 5,000 miles? My old Civic did the whole 100% 90% 80% left thing.

Also - any part numbers for the oil element housing wrench and a part number on a new element and rubber housing ring?

    Thanks fellas.

Not sure, but I believe the Toyota system is just counting mileage. Not adjustable.

The Civic system was more advanced, seemed to be monitoring various factors, and (as you know) spelled out with a code what specific services were to be done.

You could get that feature on, for example, a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, but it's too high-tech for a Prius.

just change it every 10k, no worries, you'll get notification every 5k.

And if you prefer, for example, 8000-mile intervals, just reset the reminder at 3000, so it will wake you up at 3000+5000.

Canadian cars don't have the reminder, so no problem.

I just did my first oil change @ 3k miles. I bought this filter socket good quality and fit. The filter number is the same as the previus generation, 04152-YZZA6 and comes with the o-ring.
