I bought my 08 prius used with 18,000 miles. Now with 20,000 miles I got my first oil change. After I left the mechanic I checked my oil level - like so many post tell me to do. I noticed that the end of the dipstick that goes into the oil is twisted. Is that a normal Prius thing or is something weird?? Do you think it would affect my ability to read it?? Thanks for any help.

If you are talking about the 1/2 turn of twist at the very end of the dipstick, that is normal. It makes the end a little bit stiffer which aids getting the dipstick back into the dipstick tube. It won't affect the level reading at all.
