Just changed engine oil and filter....and i noticed that the left side of the engine is all splashed with oil. Anyone with same problem? Is that a pressure switch? Thanks Thanks 1490865614486.jpg

What's the mileage on the odometer? Engine warranty is 60mo./60k miles which covers seals and gaskets.

Semi common problem on the Gen 3 engine is a timing cover gasket oil leak.

    I looked at our 2010 with 66,000 km: it's all dry/clean there.

Can't recall if I've mentioned before, but pcv valve clogging may cause crankcase pressure and maybe start pushing oil past seals? Maybe you've looked at that already though?

We have the same issue on our 2010 since before I started working on the car a couple years ago. I just leave it alone. It's either imperceptibly slow or old seepage that has stopped long ago. The engine burns about 1qt per 2500 miles and doesn't leak any oil on the floor or splash shield.

The timing chain cover isn't something you can take off without removing the engine, I think. At least it would be very difficult.

Actually here's a video of someone replacing the seals on a similar engine (more like the Gen 2) without removing the whole thing:

LOL, I like how all the fasteners and bolts are all only "hand tight" and come off with ease.
