OK to share chassis ground on Prius I?

    I have a car battery sitting in my trunk (no not the one that powers the Prius accessories) that I use for stuff I need to be on when the key is turned off (no ACC power). Is it OK to connect the ground to the car's chassis to save on wiring and only run the live wire where I need? Currently I run both + and -.

    Yes....
    For positive you should have inverter that control current to spare battery...
