Ok.. whats the top speed of you prius?

    On the level, 106mph should be comfortably within the engine's capabilities without battery assist (my calculations show it requres about 43kW - the engine can provide 57kW). A strong headwind or a hill would make that a different matter.

    Nice.... I know there must be some now that are saying "who cares"...... but I think its good to dispel the notion that hybrid is a second class whimpy car that can't keep up with the big boys..... other hybrids have created that impression... but its nice that prius can dispell that notion!

    Two weeks ago, on HWY 1- late at night- it only let me go 103 mph. I tried to go faster, but couldn't.

    It really sucked down the battery, and it handled reasonably well.

    I can't tell by the pic, but is yours pre-2003?... and how many miles are on it?..is it broke in well?
