OMG The prius is SUCH a dangerous car!!

Believe it or not, if you search through the NTSHA database, you'll actually find complaints filed about that. Those were actually included in the smear campaign last year too, as if this was something not ever suppose to happen!

It never ceases to amaze some of the nonsense we have to deal with.

When the engine shuts off the air conditioner keeps cooling. My Civic Hybrid didn't do that. Must be a bad connection somewhere.

 

That reminds me, I try to turn on the heat and the air conditioner comes on! What's up with THAT?

 

The other day, when I switched the back defroster ON, after a while I noticed that the water droplets on the side mirrors had been disappeared This is a serious defect and Toyota MUST fix it soonest :madgrin:

 

All y'all posters. Youse guys are going to scare the "begeebers" out of some wanna-be noob Prius buyer. And then who's laughing when the noob puts an eye out! But seriously, my backup camera only comes on in reverse. I called my dealer, but do you guys have any idea?

 

The other day I had my Prius parked at the mall with the doors locked. When I returned I had forgotten I locked the doors, but soon as I tried to open the drivers door, the car unlocked itself and I never even got the key out of my pocket. What if I had been a car thief?

 

You would have stolen the airbags?

 

My headlights come on when I start the car and go off when I stop it. This is just WRONG, if the car coddles the driver so much, he will forget how to drive! Just look how few drivers remember how to hand crank their cars anymore! NO GOOD CAN COME OF THIS!

i keep pushing the shifter up toward the dash to go foward and then it starts going in reverse.

what gives?

OMG! Mine does this when I come to a complete stop! The ICE completely shuts off! Like Wth!!

I actually have to step on the accelerator to turn it back on!!

 

Yea, your Prius pretty much screams "I SUCK" I'll give you $20 for that death trap.

 

MAJOR defect. I'd go down to the dealership right away. Hopefully the car didn't start with the key in your pocket too! That would be scary!

 

My Prius' headlights are turning off about 30 seconds after I shut off the car. I'm not sure at this point what the problem is, but I'm going to completely disassemble the steering column and dash board to get a look at the wires. I'm thinking there's a short. I'll post pics with step-by-step details in case any one else has this problem.

Hell would be a much safer place and less deadly than driving this piece of crap.

In my Prius the headlights do some weird thing. Once I turn my car off the headlights stay on until I open my driver side door. Could it be a short somewhere, where the wires to trigger the interior light going on are tangled with my headlights wire? PLEASE HELP!......

My Prius keeps getting dirty when I drive it.

Seriously. All that road dirt sticking to it makes it less visible, which is a hazard. Right? :blink:
