I have a 2007 Prius. Car sat for a couple weeks and now the 12 Volt battery is dead. Is this a normal situation? Now I need to know how do I open the hatchback with a dead batt so I can charge it. I don’t see a control inside the car like the gas door opener that will release the hatchback.
Thanks as usual for the wisdom and knowledge.
    Best regards,

You can charge at the under-hood jump point. If sim to 3rd gen, it’s under a red flip-up cap inside fuse box. Connect positive to jump point, negative to bare metal of body or engine.

Simple jumper cables connected thus will also supply enough power that you can pop the hatch, the regular way.

or, assuming sim to gen 3: crawl through the inside to the hatch: there’s a little mechanical lever just below hatch mechanism. Probably behind a small plastic panel you pop off. It’ll show in owners manual. If manual missing you can download pdf at Toyota Tech Info website, in “manuals” section.
