Optima Yellow Top Battery Question

    I just got my yellow-top last weekend. Out of the box it was 12.4v, had to recharge it before installing. After reading these post, I hope it last...

    good move on testing and charging before install, you should be fine.(y) what was the voltage after charging and letting it sit for a few hours?

    I too opted for the Optima Yellow Top when it came time to replace the original 12v. I think the most important thing is to check the manufacture date of the Optima when buying. Mine was only 1 month old.

    Also, there were only two places that has a battery for the Prius when I was buying: Napa Auto parts who sells the Optima, and the dealer.

    I wish DieHard made a battery for us. I like them and have always purchased them for my cars.

    After charging it was 13.8, installed with load somehow bumped it to 13.9

    My original battery last 8 yrs (hwy commuter), if this last 5, I'll be happy.
