It just occurred to me tonight that our 170K 2009 Prius has the original windshield still. What's even more amazing there are no nicks are pits at all. It's in perfect condition. I've never had a windshield last this long in any car. Our SC430 has 26K miles on it and has a cracked windshield from a rock.

Anyone else with high mileage Prii have their original glass?

My 2009 is not high mileage and it still has the original one. I did get a rock chip in it and the insurance co. paid to have it fixed. They did a good job. My understanding is that if you don't get a chip repaired that it could become a crack.

173K miles on the 2004, original windshield with no obvious flaws.

Mine was replaced at 162K and was pretty hazy with multiple dings. A rock in the lower left corner on the driver side started an 8 inch diagonal crack that I could watch progressing as I was driving home. Sure was happy to get that piece of glass replaced as it was nearly impossible to see through when driving into the sunrise or sunset. I believe my car's previous owner did a lot of gravel road travel considering how beat up all the leading edges of the vehicle are. Hood especially.

2005 at 114k with no flaws at all in the windshield.

Was also thinking about this the other day... funny coincidence.
