    agreed. i saw one and thought, 'what is that'? they made it uglier than the leaf.

    I would not say a Juke is ugly, I believe it fits more or less in "different". It does look weird tho..

    I do wanna give a ride to see if it's fun to drive, after all, there is more experience behind the wheel than standing outside of the car. IMO

    None of the poll choices really reflect my opinion.

    For those saying the Prius is ugly? I disagree.

    What's ugly about it? Especially Gen. 3,- it's basically a hatchback. I don't think it looks any better or worse than many in the same genre. With the headlights and curves? It's borders on "Sporty Looking".

    You want "Breaking Bad Ugly"?- Try a Pontiac Aztec.

    The Prius isn't the best looking vehicle I've ever owned, but it certainly isn't ugly.

    This is just my version and I might be wrong, but...

    In a way, the 1st and 2nd gen prii are ugly because Toyota had to make the shape cut through the air better. It wasn't until the 3rd gen that Toyota was able to master the CD using more sophisticated CAD software instead of relying solely on the wind tunnel, and was able to spend more time with the aesthetics. Pre 2004 didn't have the kind of software we have now that can use the computer to see how the car reacts to air speeds and directions.

    Well your version aint half wrong either, software makes a lot of things easier, faster, or for our sake, more efficient. And I agree that Heisenberg did make an upgrade when he ditched that Aztec.

    Other cars are looking more like the Prius as every year passes, and the complaints that the Prius is 'ugly' are accordingly less.

    Why ? Because people follow fashion, which is just a kind way of saying they have no independent sense of aesthetic.

    The thread is from a user called justdidIt mods on prius.. Its a very nice 2nd gen ...
    yesterday I tint my front taillights... And yes it looks better now.. Ill post pics later

    yea ... a difference alright ... in mpg ;)
    But if you find 4 - 17" forged 9Lb rims, with equally light unsprung weight-tires I'm all ears.

    the juke & Leaf fell from the same ugly tree .... hitting every branch on the way down - and that's from a Leaf owner. Ugly is OK - if it's really cheap to run.

    I got my '05 from a person who went on to buy an I3. It looks better in real life than in video clips and pix... and definitely more fun to drive.
