    Job done. Sending you via PM.

    With this version you will be able to load a RRUI, extract its art, modify it and preview each screen.
    And other little things.

    The next version will have a button for creating your own RRUI; basically just bundling the new art you changed.
    Let me know how it worked for you.

    May I get a copy to play with while I wait for my unit to arrive?

    also, when I upload the new files to the unit does it override the factory original files? can those be saved.....you know....just in case..lol

    Hey guys not sure if you keep up to date with their facebook...im hoping they realease an ANDROID OS for the prius...but there giving free give aways...check it out share the news....

    Excellent work going on here guys, really impressive!
    I was looking at a new HU and stumbled upon the "My OttoNavi Experience" thread and after all the great write ups, I bought one today. I'm kinda local so I went to warehouse in Ontario to buy the unit. When I was there I mentioned the "PriusChat" forums (got a discount for doing so BTW) and the guys working there were like "oh yeah, a couple of guys are on there changing the UI. Looks real nice." So after my install (thanks for the step-by-step images dylanjones37) I immediately searched for this thread to see what was going on. It's amazing how much progress you have made in such a short time!
    Keep up the great work and let us know if there anything you could use assistance on. I know that I, and I'm sure others, would be happy to contribute to this effort.

    sorry I missed your post yesterday.

    I'm kind of wating from input from clayfree and dehhh to see how things are going first.
    Plus I'm working on a new one that will allow us to actually create our own rrui file. That should be ready pretty soon.
    Just be patient. ;)

    Depends what you can do. Art? Testing?

    For sure on the art side, there are many files to change if we want to create a consistent and beautilful new UI...
    Let's see what clayfree or dehhh have to say about that.

    The more the merrier! What's your specialty JSD?

    Bulle I thought I would try to finish the entire Apps screen, icons & background. Then I'll send the files back to you for a build. We can test that on our units and if all looks good then I'll have a good base for rolling out to the other screens.

    I have one dumb question: what is graphic 31.png and what does it represent??

    Yes. Very good strategy. I was thinking the same thing.

    31.png is the silly little thing on the left of the digital time on top of some screens.
    I guess it represents a dial or something. It's not even positionned on the same place across all screens...

    Art, testing, I'm game for anything. I am pretty handy with PhotoShop (I'm no Clayfree) but I know there are many screens to work out. You mentioned about 148 items to change across all screens, are there any lower priority items I can take a crack at while you Clayfree and Dehhh work out the main items. Just point me in a direction and I'm here to help.
    I will download all the attachments to date and just start familiarizing myself with where you're at.

    Cool. In that case, since Clayfree and Dehhh are already working on their own style, they should be the ones telling you exactly what kind of help they need.

    Thanks for the help JSD. I can think some areas where we can use help:

    1. I should release a homes screen template. It has the position of the clock and other elements. From that you can make wallpapers which are really Home Screen themes. Those are fun to make and really add variety. They can be used with any build(mine or Dehhh's).

    2. I'm working on the apps screen and once we try it out I'll have a good idea about the overall look & feel. At that point can release a psd that has buttons & elements.That should help us knock out all the screens in the interface.

    3. Eventually we need to decide if we want to create additional interfaces so please collect anything that serves as inspiration. One of my favorites right now it the pioneer app radio.

    Here's the Wallpaper Template I promised. This will help create wallpaper themes for my Metal Theme. This is a layered PSD file. The base layer shows the original Ottonavi theme. The folder group contains two wallpapers that show some of the elements that can be changed. The top layer has the dynamic text and clock hands so you can design around them. Can't wait to see what everyone dreams up!
