:( Has anyone gotten this to work on a 2006 prius? I tried it 6 times and I never got to the service screen.

It sounds like a great feature to have while my wife and I are traveling. Would be nice to be able to put in a new address without stoping the car. Hope someone can help me.

the software override won't work on the '06. If you must have access while in motion you'll need to do a mechanical override. There are a number of old threads showing how this can be accomplished.

alternatively look at coastaletech.com and their "Lock-pick" options... they're pricy, but convenient. Also, Coastal's customer service sucks, but their products are good and, when in stock, they ship right away and only bill after they ship.

Is there a nother way to get to the service screen so I could press the override until i get a beep?

hey i ordered from costal tech about 1 week and and a half ago. I bought the basic unlock which presses the "agree" button and allows you to use the GPS while moving. It took a little over a week for me to get the part. It took all of 20 seconds to connect to my car and IT WORKS AS ADVERTISED!!!! it is as easy to install as the website claims!!! definatly worth the 100 bucks in my opinion.

Can you briefly explain what was involved in the installation?

You should look at this thread to see some pictures of the instructions and the parts.

this was very , very , very easy. you push the seat all the way back. you disconect a wire that is connected to the box under the seat. you connect it to the wire they send you and then you connect it back into the box. this really took like two minutes with no equipment. it works exactly as advertised.
