Oxiclean Total Interior shredded my headliner, please help

    Just for giggles I downloaded the 2021 Prius Owner's Manual (North American edition). Interior cleaning info spans page 502~504 (see attached). Didn't see any cleaning cautions (or mention) of the headliner.

    I can see why: nobody’s going to say “take it real easy on our fragile and ridiculously expensive to replace headliner”.

    That was one stroke. It’s a very wide brush.

    I’m going to start by contacting the dealership today and asking them to have a long talk with their mechanics about where they put their dirty hands on a light interior and ask them if there are patches available, or anything that can be done to make it look better.

    I'd be pushing them for a proper fix. And mention that your next call is to TOYOTA CORPORATE.

    Do at your own risk - My suggestion is to use one of those fabric shavers to attempt to remove the stringing part of the headliner and make it look and seem better.
