    Hello,

I am registering a P0171 fault code on my OBD2 after getting a CEL on my 2006 Prius (150K miles). No other fault codes appear. Fuel systems status reads "open loop due to insufficient temperature". Car driving fine.

So far, I've inspected the vacuum hoses for leaks and checked the oil level. I didn't see any issues, but then again I'm pretty new to working on my car. I'm going to pick up some MAF cleaner next and see if that helps. MAF's at 0.1 g/s idling. LTFT1 is consistently at 25.8% idling with STFT1 at 0%. Test results read "pass" for everything the Torque app checks. Any troubleshooting suggestions? Thank you very much!

P.S. Here's my Freeze Frame info on the P0171 in case that helps:

    Engine Load = 87.451 %
    Engine Coolant Temperature = 185 °F
    Engine RPM = 3,342 rpm
    Speed (OBD) = 84.506 mph
    Throttle Position(Manifold) = 36.078 %
Run time since engine start = 731 s
    O2 Sensor1 Equivalence Ratio = 1
Distance travelled since codes cleared = 5,569.971 miles
Evap System Vapour Pressure = 80.25 Pa
Barometric pressure (from vehicle) = 14.359 psi
    Catalyst Temperature (Bank 1,Sensor 1) = 1,409 °F
    Catalyst Temperature (Bank 1,Sensor 2) = 1,116.68 °F
    Engine Load(Absolute) = 47.451 %
    Commanded Equivalence Ratio(lambda) = 0.993
    Relative Throttle Position = 20.784 %
    Ambient air temp = 84.2 °F
    Absolute Throttle Position B = 74.51 %

Thank you. I just cleaned it, so hopefully that solves the issue when I plug it in tomorrow morning.

Remove the 12 V power for 5 - 10 seconds to reset the ECM. That will force it to learn the new idle air position. If you don't do that it will relearn eventually, but may run rough (or so rough it fails to start the engine) in the meantime.
