This afternoon car was shacking a lot and feels like it's going to stop with vibrations on the engine. Check engine light came on. I took it to Autozone it's the code P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire detected.

I got all the parts to install the OCC but didn't get a chance to install it.

    What can I do?
Autozone said I need a new coil pack for cylinder 1
    Please help.

Erase the code, swap out ignition pack with a different cylinder, recheck if its still misfiring on cylinder 1. If not, then its the ignition pack, If it is, swap out the spark plugs and see if it still cause misfire on the same cylinder. If not, then its the spark plugs, if it is, then need to check further in the process.

p0301 does not mean it's the coil, just tells you there's a misfire. You would need to rule out the easy stuff, plugs and ignition coil, fuel injector. Hope it's not what many of these turd gen cars face.........a bad head gasket.

Misfire can be caused by a fouled plug, dirty injector, coolant or oil in cylinder. Look at the plug, it is it wet and oily or dry and caked with carbon? Please post a pic of spark plug #1. Look inside the cylinder with the spark plug off. Is it wet oily black or watery/pink coolant sitting on the piston? I would also pull the injector to see if it has carbon covering the tips preventing a good fog/spray. How many miles on the the odometer? Egr system, pcv system and intake manifold need to be cleaned. Could have a blown head gasket. Mine was on cylinder #1 and had a bent rod. A bad coil is possible but I doubt it. All you have to do is swap coils with 1 and 2.

Erase your code by pulling the white cable in your fuse box for 10 min and plug back in for restart. You will also have to pull the windshield cowl to pull the spark plugs.

You mean the White cable looks like a cat5 cable inside the green circle you drew.

Just took the picture. I drove the car around 100 miles after the knock.
I can see still some engine coolant in the reservoir.

Coolant can also mix in with your oil, also known as puking.
Yes white cable. You have to compress the clip and pull. A little thicker than cat5. Watch your coolant level, it looks to be at a good level. If your plugs are wet oil fouled and oil is found in your intake plenum, I would install an oil catch can.

One more quick question to swap the ignition coil 1 do I need to remove the wiper assembly as you shown on the video for spark plugs?

Can't help but notice, what is the brake reservoir doing over on the passenger side? Is this an EU right-hand drive model?

Huh, the picture didn't quote. It's post #8, above.

    Update:
Today morning I drove the car to Autozone and experienced the same knock on the way there. So I bought a Lucas injector cleaner and put it on the gas tank. Then I also lear the check engine light. Drove 130 miles after that and car is on for past 5 hours. So far didn't experience any knock and the check engine light didn't come back either.

Tomorrow morning will do all the maintenance work and see what happens down the road.
