P261C after egr, intake manifold, throttle body cleaning

    There are some sprays for that purpose. I've had a can of GC Jiffy Bath around for years, which is a contact cleaner that leaves a light lube behind of some sort.

    Won't hurt to try something like that, but there are other possibilities too, like wire breaks or near-breaks and so on. Sometimes, to keep yourself sane, you just want to have the right tools to make the invisible visible, like some backprobes and a multimeter or scope, so you can feel you are actually tracking down the problem methodically, not shadow-boxing it.
