believe it or not, most criminals are not stealing your car to get into a race with the cops - that's not really the objective. Actually, as hybrid demand goes up, it will go up the 'most commonly stolen' list. Camrys didn't get their with their ferocious 0-60 time.

on topic, i'm glad to hear that you could just drop or toss the fob, and the car wouldn't start even if they knew how to start the car.

Don't need speed in a police chase. I've seen cars go in circles before and most of the time they just do the speed limit.
