Parking Brake Cable Adjustment

    Yes, I did pay attention to the caliper piston orientation. Thanks for the wheel spin video which indicates I have adequate free spin - since I come close to matching the video. I had read that some people achieve spin rates of 14 on their cars, so at first I thought I might be in trouble. I experimented with spin by removing the caliper and having only the rotor and tire attached to the hub - which did in fact get me 13 revolutions, which made me feel the hubs were working freely. I've only had the car a year and it looked to me like maintenance was quite lacking - rear pads looked old (but not worn down much), rusty rotors, and frozen slide pins - now all replaced. I was too quick at monkeying with the parking brake tension since I didn't even test it after doing all the brake work. Getting better at this thanks to Prius Chat.
