But are you 100% sure that the position of the bolts and nylon tabs at the rear are exactly the same as with the 09-11 ones? Maybe they did some small changes, maybe not. This is why I'm looking for a confirmation.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Sidenote:
Also had a 09 CTS-4 but sold it due to its very high fuel consumption (13 l/100km when babying). It turned out that it had the known cam shaft problem of the 3.6l engine. Hope yours' fine! I definitely miss the luxury compared to the Prius.

So I have a question.......what is it that the lights use to aviod the hyper flash?

The reason I ask is I will be changing the front to LEDs as well & will be getting a LED flasher. If these tail lights use a common resistor (the kind that heat up), can it be disconnected? Will the turn signals still work?

The Valenti lights use a high power resistor to prevent hyperflashing, but they should still work even with the LED relay installed.

Yeah, I seem to have gotten lucky when i got my CTS. I haven't had any of the common problems that others have had. :D

Here is what my CTS looks like:

Built in. The Valenti lights don't use an external flasher relay/turn signal canceller box like some of the other full LED lights.

I'm an LED fan for sure, just not a fan of the red lenses these days, really like the clear look since introduced. Nice job though...good looking ride with that color and the black wheels...

That's right. But you can leave the resistor at it's place with the LED flasher, it will work. If you don't use the LED relais then you'd also need a balast (correct, it heats up a little, I posted a pic i na thread where you can see the inside of the Valenti lights) for the front LEDs because the front and rears are not conencted to each other. Just note that with the LED relais you will not notice when one of the flashers are out due to a damaged part or defective cable.

It's confirmed to fit the 2012 Prius.

That 3rd break light is really gonna pop nicely...come on and get one! I personally cant wait to have it match my Valentis.

People in this thread have mentioned red film wrap. I've got clear taillights on my 2010 barcelona red prius III. Is there a film I can apply to achieve the red look featured on some of the Valentis shown in this thread, without the cost/labor/LEDs?
And has anyone tried painting the spoiler that splits the rear windows to match the body color? On the BR Prius with red taillights it would seem to really tie things together. A practical mod?
