Passenger side window not operable from drivers side anymore

    Passenger side window not operable from drivers side anymore, with the respective button. However, the windows does work when I try from the passenger side.

    This only started after the deep freeze ...

    Is this under warranty? I hope I am at about 13k and 13 month with this 12' Prius 2

    It also seems, but I can not be sure that the little green led shines dimmer than the other three.

    Is it worth trying something DYI I really do not want to go in for a service

    your warranty should be the basic 3 year/36k mile warranty. You should be covered

    Sounds like that switch on the drivers side is bad. If the warranty does not cover, swap it with one of the others to verify before you spend the money for a new one.

    I tried to toggle that but by definition even if you have that the driver button supposed to overwrite that and again it work from the passenger site ... wouldn't it be the opposite ???? if I engage the child lock button only driver can lower and raise the windows ??? that is how I imagine it wold work

    Check your switch. Just swap the harness/ plug over and you will know.

    It's covered under the 3/36 warranty. I'd bring it to the dealer first since you paid for the warranty when you bought the car. ;)

    i noticed the other day in my 2010 the the switches on the driver door panel were difficult to operate, like they were bound up... it was incredibly cold. but once the car interior warmed up they were fine.

    I also had non-responsive passenger side windows from the master console. I was given this solution by Toyotechwv:

    Go to each door switch and roll the window down, hold switch down for a sec, roll window up, hold switch up for a sec.

    Worked for me and only takes you a few seconds to try.

    UPDATE...

    After last night big freeze .... I tried again and it now works ... this is puzzling ... I know it was NOT working yesterday during the snow storm...

    I did try what Maj suggested last week but did not seem to have any affect.

    But this morning after a 2hours drive it worked.

    Go figure !!
