I got a really good deal on the silver 2007 in profile (and 1st pic below) which only had 161K miles....Plus it had really clean leather. Plus it was from the south.

I basically had 3k in it and sold the blue one for 3k so even exchange for way less miles (208K vs. 161K) and leather instead of cloth.

    2007:

Then I sold the silver 2007 for about $4500 which was very nice....and bought a 2012 plug-in with 220K miles in worse condition but newer model for about $4800 or so!

Then I spent over $1000 on fixing EGR and Michillen tires so I currently have about $6000 into the 2012....Which I think I'll be lucky to get $5000 for.

She has been driving it since October 2017:

No plans to sell it yet but I think in a few months it will be on the market and sold for hopefully a clean gen 3.

@OP : That 41.x MPG needs to be looked at.. May be needs tune up new spark plugs/Coils... Filters and something easy replaceable.

Funny story I posted the blue Prius with 208K miles or so in the local Uber Facebook group. This was last summer. A guy came and bought it. 2 weeks later I called for an Uber and same guy in same car was my driver. He gets 55MPG. I got 41-42 MPG and get that on all of my gen 2s. My screen when I checked the trip information was always accurate within about a half of a mile per gallon. My screen would match the 41-42 I would record by hand.

I checked his screen and it was 55MPG bars all across.

So I am convinced that the single most important factor (which can fluctuate around 30%) is driving style.

Good point, It's likely a driver situation as well.
