Pictures App on 2013 PiP

    I’ve had this car nearly 4 years and the for first time I just noticed that there is a “Pictures” app! Does this mean I can simply throw some picture(s) of my family on a USB stick and keep them up on the display? Man, that seems kind of cool. In any event, it is gray for me right now so I’ll grab some pictures and put them on a USB stick and see if it works. I may have to experiment with file types such as JPG/JPEG, GIF, BMP, etc. Joy!

    never heard of it. i do get album art on the usb stick.

    I happened to have some pics on my USB stick along with music. It appears that the pictures app will do a slideshow of pics, but only when the car is not in motion. Once you start driving, it gives you a screen saying it won't work while in motion...

    Thanks. Interesting. I don't see the point of having that capability, but still interesting. :D

    I agree. I don't use any of the built in car apps, they are clunky and typically out of date before the car is even introduced to market. Google maps or Waze are much better options for navigation and traffic.
