If you want to be really pedantic, the dictionary spellings are mudguard (one word) and mud flap (with a space) ;)

Hopefully you applied some clear film on the area where the mudflap mounts over the paint. Sand and stuff get caught and cause scratching of paint.

How did the OEM euro mudflaps install, I'm thinking they use the existing pop rivet holes ?

The fronts used the existing holes. The rears required 2 new holes per side.

I bought caliper paint from an auto parts store and painted them in place. Took a long time to mask everything off.

    Merged

The body side moldings were fairly easy to install. There was a lot of measuring and application of masking tape with marks on the first side to get them put into the right spot(s). I simplified it on the second side and it was much easier.

I just got my 2016 Prius, and I'm in desperate need of mud guards. Did you get the 2015 Euro version ($117.99) for your Prius? I am a total newbie to the Prius world. I'd be grateful for any help! Thank you!

I'm not a fan of white cars in general, but your prius looks amazing with the black roof and black rims. is there tint on the taillights as well?

Did the molding come with instructions or guidelines or do these exist online somewhere?

The instructions were included from the seller (JuicedHybrid). They were composed of dimensions measured from the door bottoms and marked on masking tape which were used then as guidelines. Also front and back measurements from the point where the doors come together. Was overly complicated and arduous in my opinion. I simplified the instructions for the second side and it went much faster. The only real important thing is to get the two pieces in a straght line. Up or down a little bit does not really matter...

Thanks. No tint on the tail lights.

Considering a temporary, cosmetic solution until we can find fog lights.

After 4,000 miles on the 17" rims and tires, average MPG has been 53. I'm satisfied!

Looks great! I just picked up the Prius Two. How can I modify the stock 15" to the 17" like what you have here? The Four came with 17" stock so that my only concern.

Here's mine and I would love to have those rims and tires on it.

Did you take the emblems off of the hubcaps? I just removed mine.
