Good question. I would think so.

Whenever I walk up to my Prius, it gets all excited and turns on the interior light in glee. Then it sort of gurgles and hums when I open the door. Must be related to some furry pet animal...

Yes, it is, made for Toyota by DENSO. Installation is a bit tricky in a LHD vehicle, though.

Toyota Canada also now offers a Toyota Genuine Dash Camera (PDF), but it’s a one-piece unit.

Looks like the thing that Toyota Canada offers might be a derivative of the DRD-H66A, but with the addition of recording incidents that occur while the car is parked?

In any case, do you have any details of your DRD-H66 installation? That might call for a thread in the Gen 4 Accessories and Modifications subforum...

This may be a solution for the OP with the dash cam in the battery group thread if the current draw is less.

That PRUCK is some kinda Prius! Wow! Too bad Toyota doesn't make one like that. I haul a lot of small bags of soil, etc., and plants for gardening, and it would be handier than a pickup truck. And would fit in the garage much better and use less fuel. When I was a kid, Chevy had the El Camino, and Ford had the Ranchero. They were popular among dads in Pecos, Texas.

A mate had one of these - Suzuki Mighty Boy - 600cc motor, just over 3metres long. He reckoned it was a sports car seeing it only had 2 seats. I begged to disagree. Subaru had one a little larger.

I remember in Cyprus there was a small Subaru looked like a shrunken VW camper van. It had 7 or 8 seats and get this, a 300cc air cooled engine and 4x speed manual gearbox. This was before Cyprus joined the EU and prices were not artificially inflated to avoid undercutting the big-guns, so it didn't have the necessary E-Mark for importation to Europe.

That was the SUZUKI Carry - also know around the world as:
    "Suzuki Every
    Suzuki Super Carry
    Bedford/GME/Vauxhall Rascal
Holden Scurry [this was an Australian edition as well as the Suzuki Carry]
    Maruti Omni
    Maruti Versa
    Mazda/Autozam Scrum
    Wuling Rongguang
    Daewoo Damas
    Chevrolet CMV/CMP
    Mitsubishi Colt T120ss
    Mitsubishi Minicab
    Nissan NT100/NV100 Clipper
    Chang'an SC6320G
    Hafei Songhuajiang HFJ6350
    SYM T880/T1000/V5/V9/V11 Chrysler L100
    or
    Chevrolet N300 Max"

Just about every brand except Ford, Toyota and BMW - well, I exaggerate slightly. We never had the one with 3 rows of seats. They were very popular here. Daihatsu actually started the trend with the HiJet in 1960 - (which was also sold as a Subaru and a Toyota).

My first impression was indeed a dystopian "El Prio". I say dystopian because I'm just hoping I can get my new Prius 2 paid off before the collapse...

No, I think that was an offshoot of the Daihatsu HiJet - I had to look it up, SUBARU Jumbuck, based on the LEONE, quite popular here, AWD. Interestingly, it wasn't sold in Japan - but became a Grey Market Import back to Japan.

    Sold elsewhere as the:
    Subaru 284
    Subaru BRAT
    Subaru Shifter
    Subaru MV
    Subaru Targa
    Subaru MPV
    Production 1978–1994
