I’m a first timer here and am very bad with cars. I’ll start with my story. But first, I have a Toyota Prius 2015. It is not the plug in type. So we bought the car from CarMax, not used much..it had maybe 1,000~ miles ? But it was to be used by a family member. Eventually, they never ended up using it and the car has been sitting dormant for nearly a year. Really need to use it now since the car has been wrecked. Tried to jump it, ran it for 45 min. but it would not start up after. I’m very bad with cars and (now hybrids!) have always owned a traditional car. If someone could help, I’d be so thankful. Thanks !

Give the battery a good slow charge on an automatic charger, possibly overnight. And don't try to start the car while it's on a charger.
