    At best?
How can anyone online and detached know what could be causing chemical odors in a Prius?

Really what does the fabled "Service Manager" who is now agreeing to fix it for free think it is?

I doubt any service manager would allow a customer to drive away in a vehicle that was leaking harmful battery fumes.

If this whole thing isn't just trolling? Then obviously the best place for answers is from the technicians and dealership.

No a normally operating Prius should not be emitting chemical odors. They are not designed to kill people....at least not in that manner.

Probably the excess EMF radiating from the battery is exciting the vent tubing and spewing fire and brimstone into the HV battery vent tube and then into the cabin.

Yes it does. Take it to an independent Prius mechanic and asked them to replace the vent tubes.

Take some photos of the degraded plastic/rubber tubes and post them here.

My father-in-law died of lung cancer. He never smoked, or was around cancer causing chemicals. I never thought about blaming his Buick for causing his cancer o_O

Blame the house in that case, not the car...be sure to check the house for radon, we have that issue here.

Before accusing OP of trolling, shouldn't we ask him to open the trunk, remove the underfloor storage tray and spare tire, and report what he finds underneath? Past problems here have included detached battery vents, and leaks through the hatch that cause rainwater to pool and fester below the spare tire.

And don't discount the possibility that grandma or grandpa spilled something nasty in the car.
