    Mr Field also made two significant announcements in Toyota's commitment to hybrid technology in New Zealand, with plans to launch a new Camry hybrid within 12 months and the likely selection of New Zealand for a field trial of the Prius Plug In Hybrid, starting in early 2010."

    After the Leaf, surely Toyota will try to speed things up with the plug-in program. Toyota is not very worried about the Volt... many believe the Volt is poised to be another failure by GM, but an electric car from the direct competitor Nissan is whole different history... the leaf is more than 1 year away from arriving in the dealerships and there is already a lot of buzz about it...
