Plus Package

    Just got a five with plus wheels...now i'd like to add the plus body kit for about 750.00. My question is does anyone know how much lower the body kit would make the car? I'm guessing it's minimal but would like to hear from someone who has it. From what I can tell, my car doesn't have the springs just the sway bar. [​IMG]

    You def don't have the springs. Here's my pic below for a visual. If I remember right about 1.25" to 1.5".

    Actually re-reading your post, the body kit reduces the clearance of your car due to the various valences. It actually doesn't lower your car. if you get the springs, that will actually lower the car.

    Thanks for the reply. That's what I was wondering about, how much less clearance there would be if I added just the body kit.

    That's what I did (skipped the body kit), for various reasons, one of which I thought it was plenty low enough with out it:

    There is a photo of one here(Plus Kit without springs) somewhere. It was sold as "sport" package instead of Plus package.

    Wow more info than I could have imagined, thanks. I never would have noticed a difference between a prius with or without the springs but I can see what you're saying. I agree lower looks better but I wouldn't mind having a little mores ground clearance.

    What do you think about the body kit? Not a fan? I could always pay 200 for the springs if I can't stand the height. But again the extra inch is kind of nice especially if its the wife's car. #oblivious

    Mediahound thanks for posting this just what I wanted to see. Black looks awesome btw. Black and those wheels best color combo. Is clearance ever an issue for you with your body kit and springs?

    Here is a pic. The first pic is the bodykit without the lowering spring and the second pic with the lowering springs. photo(47).JPG photo(48).JPG It looks much better with the lowering springs.

    Wow thank you so much this is exactly what I wanted to see! Your car looks awesome hope your dont mind if I copy. Are your door moldings satin nickel or chrome? Also, did you decide you didn't like the look of the plus body kit without the lowering springs? And finally, is clearance ever an issue for you? Thanks again
