poor mileage in town, better on highway

    FWIW, I looked up what Consumer Reports got in the May 04 issue reviewing the 04 Prius. They got 35 city, 50 highway, 44 mpg overall. They next best performer in that review (of affordable family cars) was the Chevy Malibu w/145 hp 2.2L 4: 16 city, 38 highway, 24 mpg overall.
