Check out the 2007 Prius eBrochure to find out what equipment was standard and what equipment was in each option package:

Also, if you do get the 2007 Prius, it's very handy to have a PDF of the Owner's Manual so that you can do fast word and phrase searches:

    and table of contents:

A 2007 with Nav but without factory leather should be a package #5. (With factory leather is a package #6).

    I don't have a Carfax subscription.

Re: Minor rear damage - What to check:

Check to make sure the SKS (Smart Key System) works to open the hatch. The antenna is located behind the rear bumper. With the SKS fob in your possession, the hatch should unlock and open by placing your fingers on the rubber covered latch release above the rear license plate.

Check to make sure the hatch opens and closes smoothly. It usually takes a good strong push downwards to close completely.

The 12v (Auxillary) battery is located in the right rear corner of the cargo area. You may want to check out this area to make sure there is no obvious damage to the battery or the brake system reserve module located next to the battery.

    Thanks dogfriend,

Is that pretty much all too look out for? anything else that pertains to a rear end collision?

I can't really think of anything else. None of the other important components are near the rear bumper.

Going to http://www.toyotaownersonline.com/index.html, registering & entering the VIN shows the car's service history. This Barcelon Red was in Ohio & serviced at Germain Toyota of Columbus. The last service record is dated 10/20/08 at 36021 miles when they "moved disabled vehicle" because it was totalled. I'm sorry, but you are looking at a salvage title so there is no warranty. Unless you are getting the car dirt cheap, run (don't walk) away.

Good call. Don't buy a salvage car.

Also: If the bumper was hit, then the "egg-crate" shock absorbing material is likely compromised and therefore will no longer offer energy absorbing protection. You would want that replaced.

Better to know now than later. Good luck in finding another car.
