Possible to generate RFID chip for Prius?

    Is it possible to record the RFID code of a Prius chip key and then reproduce it with something like a laptop (via a USB device)? What is the cheapest way to do this? Or does one require at least the Chinese key-copying hardware specifically designed for specific RFID chips (the ones found in the keys)?

    Can it be read with something like this?

    And if so, is there a procedure to write the code to a blank generic transponder chip?
