^^ In line with that, I have yet to see a Prius running on negative offset wide rims such as this one.

That's super exciting news - 215/45/17 gives a HUGE number of options when it comes to tire choices. Hell, I could put some Dunlop Direzza Star Specs on!

i havent posted in a long long time.... :D probably because my wife has been the one taking the car... Well since my last post, my wife has managed to take the car off roading... and um, I had to replace the rim... this time, i went for a 17x7.0 PG5s forged wheel with 215/45/17 (thicker tires...for better rim protection). Hopefully I will be able to use these same wheels when it comes to upgrading to the new prius.

Wow man, that looks really good. I'm curious about the roof and taillights too. Is the roof a big sticker (I see a lot of fake CF stickers that people put on their roofs) or did you do some custom work (I'm not familiar with any custom roof panels made for the Prius)?

after 300 miles of driving on the new wheels.. I would say the mileage hit would be 2-3..... my tires are 38 all around.. would try to do 40 psi by next service... and also maybe a LRR tire would be a better

How would you rate the cornering performance and stability? Any improvement?

I think it might have improved just a little (I'm already using the BT stiffening plate and TRD sportivo suspension before putting on the wheels).... for me the biggest difference in improvement was when I installed the TRD suspension.....

Have to agree. They do seem to protrude a bit don't they?

The low offset look with the concave face is the newest trend in the automotive scene, if you look at tuner cars they always try and have the lowest possible offset.
