So I ready to purchase some winter tires for my wifes 2015 prius v.

The car has the factory 215/50/17 tires. I found an awesome deal on craigslists for tires/rims that came off a 2010 honda accord. But wanted to make sure they will fit because the size is slightly different. Im more worried about the rim fitting than the tire.

The tires for sale are 215/60/16 and the rims are 5x114.3 with a +50 offset

    215/50-17 215/60-16 Difference
    Diameter inches (mm)
    25.46 (646.8) 26.16 (664.4) 0.69 (17.6) 2.7%
    Width inches (mm)
    8.46 (215) 8.46 (215) 0 (0) 0%
    Circum. inches (mm)
    80 (2031.98) 82.18 (2087.27) 2.18 (55.29) 2.7%
    Sidewall Height inches (mm)
    4.23 (107.5) 5.08 (129) 0.85 (21.5) 20%
    Revolutions per mile (km)
    792.01 (492.13) 771.03 (479.09) -20.98 (-13.04) -2.6%

The rims are my main concern. The offset is +50, and the hub bore is 63. The prius v currently uses a 39 offset and 54 hub bore. Which means the rim have a bigger hub bore (good for my scenario).

Please let me know what you think as I have to act quickly to get these!

It might be really close. That's 11 mm further out (the wheel will sit 11 mm deeper into the wheel well) so I'd try to stick my fingers in between the tire and the strut and see how much space you currently have. It might rub there...

My friend had a 2004 Acura TL, I have a '99 Lexus GS400. (He always changes his wheels.) I offered to swap my OE 17" wheels, but when we brought his wheel to my car, the tire just touched the rear shock. That was the end of that.
