They say "top up" so you may want to leave a few drops so it is not totally empty.

As far as I can see, the sole significant service @raspy is getting for his 185 pounds is an oil and filter change? For reference, here is my Canadian DIY expense to do that. Note the $4.50 per liter is for bulk liters; bottled liters are slightly more: $5.91 per.

My "environmental fee" is to walk a couple of 100 yards down a trail, to a nearby Mr. Lube, dump the old oil in their tank, leave the old oil filter.

Me too, I'd only done 2,500 miles, the old oil was still clean and taking off the price of the oil etc (their prices), it works out I've paid them just under £100 labour on a job I could do myself in less than 1/2 an hour.

Was this with the 185 pound package? Just over 85 pounds for 4~ liters of oil? That in itself is a head shaker.

There has got to be a Toyota UK maintenance schedule, somewhere. In a vault at Scotland Yard, MI5?

    Do I hear a drone...

    Did a little (fruitless) sleuthing:

    Bottom of page here:

Maintenance | Service, MOT and Maintenance | Toyota UK

    Is a link saying:

"Need more information? You can access all our
    repair documentation online right here"

    Clicking that takes you to:

    Toyota Service Information

Registered there, then while logged in, clicked on "Repair" link, at top of page.

Then, under the "Payable Access" column (right side), clicked on "Maintenance Schedules"

Selected "United Kingdom" and "Prius", then "11-2015"

In "search results", click on shopping cart icon to right of "MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE - EUROPE 15,000 km/9,000 miles"

From there on in, you need to get your credit card out?? Something wrong with this picture.

For comparison, this is an excerpt from the 2014 Canadian Owner's Manual and Warranty Booklet. It's a graph layout, with maintenance items listed down the left column, and distance/time intervals listed across the top. It applies to all Toyota models, so there's some non-applicables:

    upload_2017-6-9_7-16-46.png
And verbose description of the first two "service" items:

    upload_2017-6-9_11-54-14.png

I've attached a pdf of the above. Note: this is a big improvement from earlier booklets, like my 2010, which lack this table, are a horrible mish-mash of text and provisos. That format drove me to make a spreadsheet format table similar to the above, just to be able to comprehend what they were saying.

Perhaps there would not be such a bullish Japanese Motor Car industry.

Not Toyota, but one dealership I was on contract with would drain your washer reservoir and to it again even if it was full at the start.

Guilty, as charged, your Honor! Happily, I survived the experience and am almost back to being relaxed.
