Wow, that's great. I wonder if they would deliver the car to Long Island, New York for this price. May I ask which dealership? Thanks.

What are you, maybe 50 miles from them? Maybe they'll deliver a pizza along with the car. A guy in Syracuse told you the other day you could fly up for $165 and he would pick you up at the airport, and yet you are still shopping for a deal. Must frustrate a lot of car salemen.

That's out of line and uncalled for. I came to this forum for information and advice. I have not made any deals or even spoken at length with the car salesman as you have pointed out here. I have not insulted anyone here. I am still looking and would prefer a dealer closer to me. I am just more comfortable with that in case there are any issues with the car. And what's wrong with shopping around, i'm not taking up any of your time. I am the one spending the money and have the right to look for the best deal!

Sorry if I hurt your feelings. But here and on at least one other thread you have complained that the dealers in your area have lied to you about incentives and don't want to sell cars. So now dealers some distance from you, who apparently DO want to sell cars, are making attractive deals, but you expect them to travel to you, rather than the other way around. If you are a serious buyer, salesmen will bend over backwards to work with you. I am not in the business of selling cars, but know several people who make their living doing so. I'm just saying that if you are serious, and not just a "tire kicker", maybe you need to re-think your approach, and get a car before the incentives run out.

Once TMC gets the inventory levels down, they will. The fact that TMC is offering any incentives on Hybrid cars with $4 gas is unprecedented. The only reason for this incentive is that they shipped too many PHV's. Besides mine, three other employees at my dealership have picked up PHV's and we see all the deals, so when we are signing for these, you know it's a good deal.

The 3500 or 2000 incentive from Toyota only applies if you live in the state where the car is being sold. If you travel to buy it, you don't get that, only the federal (and perhaps state) incentives. This is what I was told. Mine actually wound up in PA and that's where I bought it. 31,500 plus all fees, minus 2500 federal and 1000 state.

You don't have to be a resident of a qualifying state, just have to buy it in one, like NY.

Well, that's supposedly direct from the district manager of Toyota. Either way though, I couldn't have got it.

Hmmm. We had a guy from Mich and nobody seemed to have an issue. TFS approved them for the 0% fin as well.

I had to go 72 months, so no 0%. I can always refi later, I guess. Not having the Toyota incentive sucks, but it's not the end of the world since I'll still have Federal and state (both of which are not limited by location or purchase location).
