Thanks for the update. I've heard nothing from my local dealership (but I haven't really prodded them for info. I was told I'll be able to test drive one as soon as they arrive so I guess I won't hear anything until they arrive lol).

Dealer delay may be the result of giving preference to online orders.

Dealer will give preference to those orders with the biggest profit.

It's funny how they'll bring out new "features", and then drop them, when there's a big yawn. For example, when the 2016 was first revealed in Las Vegas, they made a big deal of how close the front end Toyota symbol was to the ground. I don't know, maybe I'm alone in this, but for me it was "that's nice..., I guess".

They should give that ear back so Toyota can listen to us...

If I remember, the lowering of the emblem meant a lowering of the crease in front, which meant better aerodynamics. So reducing drag by 0.01? Whoop-de-doo. I want meat, not vegetables.

And then, the new standardized manufacturing system, another hot topic, for about 5 minutes.

I don't think it has to do with online orders...the dealership guy know way less about the car than I do....he should read this forum! He doesn't even know prices, options, colours, nothing...so I don't think I'll be getting gouged when it arrives.

I find Lexus tends to be better. They have PDFs of basic specs, colours and packages (even if they don't have the price yet) so you have an idea of what you'd like to pre-order.

Toyota does sometimes but I think they're either less likely to do it (Since fewer people pre-order at Toyota vs. Lexus) or TCI doesn't release them until a closer date to launch vs. Lexus.
