-Tried and failed to get the airplay mirroring kit installed (doesn't work for our cars yet)
-50% tint all around. IMO a must given our terrible sun visors. i mean they're absolutely useless for blocking sun on the driver's side window and even front windshield blocking is pretty bad too.

Looking for a some tote or organizer to keep items from rolling out of the trunk (I live on a hill).
Looking for a fitted sun visor as well.

I don't know what it's called, but I asked about getting a strip of tint across the top of my windshield. I was told that it's illegal in my state without doctor's orders.

They have cling strips of tint that you can buy. I intend to buy some and try that.

I hope some of my fellow support group members will spring me from jail if I get pulled over for using it!

(Fun to daydream as if I actually had a Prime.)

Did they have any difficulty tinting the back window with the curve?

Got mine done yesterday and they said the back glass wasn't too bad. They said they found the small rear window is also curved, which threw them a small wrench. Overall he said it took them 3.5 hours to do all windows. It was their first Prime and he said he would probably have to start charging more after this experience.

Had my prime tinted also, did a 15 on back and 30 on front. They said the negative curve in the 2 back windows was a pain and would also charge more after mine.

he didn't say anything about it!

I was thinking about having the rear window tinted but I'm a little concerned that the edge of the tint film has no real protection. I'd be worried that I'd damage it just washing the car. Did the installer make any comments about that?

Tint goes on the inside. Once applied and cured, you can wash your windows without any worry. No tint on the outside of the car

Me too huskers. What did I learn today? Sounds like the trick is to be the first prime to get tinted at the shop you're going to use.

My local tint installer made a pattern with no charge and offered it to corporate office. He did not charge any more than usual to do all windows and strip on windshield. $210. Ron

Got my Prime tinted with 20's on the back and 35's on the front windows plus 60 on the windshield. BTW, the tint shop mentioned they normally charge an additional $50 for the back window because it's such a pain. They use a heat gun to "mold" the tint into place.

All Huper-Optik nano ceramic tints. Usually I don't buy into the whole "special coating" spiel but I have to admit this stuff works WAY better than normal tints. It cuts a ridiculous amount of heat.. so much so that I rarely use the climate control (tbh I've only run CC to test the air conditioning!). The only problem is the Huper-Optik tints are crazy expensive. I paid about 4x more than I would usually pay for a tint job.

I've driven the car from a shaded garage for a 30 minute drive with all windows up and no fan running and the interior temps don't get above 80-85 (bright and sunny day). Now it's a bit cool outside at about 70-75 but on my other car (tinted the same way except for the windshield) it would be easily in the high 90's in 20 minutes with the windows up and no fan running.

Have you driven it enough to know if the windshield tint had any effect on your night vision?
