My Prius 2/2005/178000km was in need of a new ttaction battery. A set of 14 x 14,4 cylindrical ordered n delivered n assembled. All pretty much ok, 218v are there. Once in the car, the problems started. First red triangle plus all orange lights, and NO READY sign meaning no start. Then i take the obd2 i used to check cells before all this, and the obd cannot connect to my android phone n torque pro anymore. Bought another new one - same. So now the question is if the port on the car doesn't work, how can i do a diagnose with any other device? The darkness i am in is obvious. I am ready to try what i am capable to do. Actions taken/checked:

    1. VOLTAGE CHECK > 218V
    2. 3 MONTHS OLD AGM YASSA BATTERY > 12,3V
    3. NO READY SIGN PLUS ALL ORANGE LAMPS ON AND OF COURSE RED TRIANGLE. TEXT "PROBLEM" ON THE INFO SCREEN. BATTERY BLUE 6 OR 7 BARS...
    4. All corrosion on connection terminals removed. New harness for charge check, new buss bars, new screws.

Where to start without codes and obviously non operational obd port?

Attached pics of the new pack assembled and the dashboard with available info. All inputs and thoughts are welcome.

    BR Vlad

    Hi Bisco,

Load tested and ok. Recharged since the car already some weeks is in stand still position. After rest, now it is 12,62V. All other reported problems are present. No READY light.

I see a voltage difference between the battery in trunk area (12,62V) and in the fuse box (plus terminal - ground) > 12,52V.
