Currently ran the hybrid health test and waiting on parts. Also, viewing more videos and preparing for changing the modules. Still surprised of not being able to find new modules and the lack of communication from Panasonic.

Do some searching, not advisable to use new modules in a 2006 pack, you are asking for trouble and will definitely be in a dilemma.

Panasonic will not sell you new modules, they only sell to Toyota. Panasonic Toyota have a joint venture. Probably better to do some more research regards rejuvenating HV battery, otherwise you might damage your pack.

Start here, I also copied info into a informal manual from the wiki and is attached

If the reconditioned cell is within 0.2v of the adjacent cell, will further conditioning occur by just driving the vehicle? From what I gather, driving just a short distance is not good for the hybrid. There should be at least a weekly longer excursion drive. I am hoping that this cell replacement will work without much complications.

No, not really. What you do (or don't do) as far as "reconditioning" is pretty much going to stay that way in use- until a module deteriorates more than the others. The block voltage differentials on my pack are fairly close to what they were (and on the same block numbers) 21k ago when I did it.

Here are some photos showing the 2006 prius with 112,000 km or 69k miles. According to a video, seems that the battery was accessed before because of only three clips instead of five clips. The 90 minute video is a good detailed video on replacing a battery cell. Somehow, heic extension are not allowed and can not be uploaded. The images are of the right and left side of the prius, the dash showing ready with triangle and km, the fully charged hb with green bars.

Found the heic converter to jpg. Here are the photos. The dash shows 112,000 km which is 69k miles. This gives an idea what I am talking about.

The 90 minute video by Electron Automotive gives very good details about the hybrid battery disassembly and reassembly.

What OBDii tester did you use, and how did it show a weak block.

How do you plan on matching the replacement modules to the rest of the pack. Are you considering any chargers or balance chargers? Or are you just going to replace the modules.

I found the OBD2 tester on Amazon.de. The brand name is Veepeak. The app is Hybrid Assistant and gives good data. The cells are refurbished and tested. Will measure the vdc. Plan on replacing both bank cells since middle cells wear out faster as claimed. Hopefully, I can find out more information about the cells. Surprisingly, could not find cells in Germany. Just replacing bank 9 cells since they were tested.
