I have the traditional FM reciever Sirius installation for my 2009 Prius and it works terribly. I never had a problem before. Can the Sirius device be hooked into the auxiliary port if the car? Does that improve the signal?

Only the Sat antenna can improve signal. If your unit uses the external RF antenna, then you might be able to find one that connects direct inline with the antenna cable of the radio. I had one of those rf units for an Ipod that never worked well in my 07 Prius, but worked OK in the Hyundai. The AUX port I think is for amplified outputs like an Ipod, the Sat units I believe are line level, so you would need an amplifier for it to work.
