I am planning on pouring down Blue Devil since I've got problem with head gasket that leads to coolant leaking into cylinder 1. Spent more than 2 hours trying to find any tutorial done with my car, no luck. Anybody knows where is the upper radiator hose since this car doesn't have radiator cap??

Not a good idea - these types of products will clog your radiator, heater core and cause all sorts of problems.

@Joele3 local to us used this and it clogged his radiator system and plumbing .

Maybe he’ll share his experience and if he’s do it again(y).

But it's even more of a bad idea that I have to spend $3,000 + on a $5,700 vehicle.

I think Toyota calls it the "No 2 Radiator Hose"? Have a look in the attachment.

I'm in the don't-do-it camp too, btw.

How long do you need the car to last?

The guy I linked in the other thread can probably do the job for under $1k, but you can’t get too picky...

I'll continue to use this until the symptom appear again, then I might be changin the head gasket.

Under $1,000 is still under my budget, so care to tell me which auto service? Also, are they careful with it?

Aren't these stop-leak products also prone gum up the whole cooling system, heater core in the dash. Replacement of the latter is not a lot of fun.

Won't stay a $5,700 vehicle after having the sludge poured in ...

... so by that point it might not be a vehicle worth changing the head gasket on any more. Cost of changing out everything sludged could exceed value.

I used K seal and it did buy me some time. If I were to trade my car in 18 months then I would use it. But if I was planning on keeping my car another 150k I would have not used the head gasket sealing fluid. It did buy me 33k miles. For some people that would be three years. I do a lot of driving so it was little over 14 months for me.

I did more work included with the K seal. I just didn't add the K seal and drive it. I changed plugs, cleaned IM, EGR cooler cleaned/soaked/cursed at it. Installed an oil catch can which did catch some yellow jello looking stuff in it.

Looking back I should have just did an engine swap when I first did all the work of taking off intake manifold I was about half way in. The process is scary looking but after i've done it, its not bad at all.

I guess we’ll see if I join the club or not(y).

I’ll keep a gasket set and bolts in stock with your name on it.

We can always replace your headgasket for “maintenance” so you can road trip in peace.

We’ll see how much longer I have our 2010;).

I was at @Pedal Logic ’s today and he thinks he knows someone that’d be interested in it and allow me to feed the Prime urge:).

But time will tell and I’m not going to hold my breath (y).

My neighbor just used blue devil. He has two beaters; one camry and one impala, both with head issues. Neither one worked. He sold both to the junkyard.

    He picked up a used g35 with 150k. :censored::censored::censored:

I would try all OTHER avenues unless you plan on junking this vehicle if/when it doesn't work.

Getting an over heating indicator today.. First time bringing it to a highway. 2 days before, I've been driving in a city for 54 miles. Just around 15 miles at highway and it appears.

At this point, I would probably plan on installing a used engine, new radiator and possibly a heater core as well.

In all honesty, that car is probably not worth repairing.

That quicky seal stuff sounds like putting sawdust in a transmission. But worse.
