Prius 2023 - no way to silence the speed limit alert?

    There are videos on YT in the autobahn, nothing exciting, the car has a limited top speed of 180km/h

    Well, it's obviously governed around 183km/hr. That's probably faster than I'd ever need to drive it, but I'd bet that powertrain is good for > 200.

    As sometimes happens with Priuses, the electric shenanigans impose some rpm limits.

    In the case of the G5, MG2 is specced for 17000rpm, which on the PHEV would be hit at 182km/h, so the limiter is set to 177km/h. (Which would be about 183km/h on the speedometer).

    The HEV has slightly different final drive ratio, so 17000rpm is 193km/h. The limiter is set lower at 180km/h, which is as high as Toyota has ever let a Prius go. Don't know if it's the same limit they set in other cars.
