Approaching 300,000 on my 2005 Prius.

I would like to purchase a Prius 4 simply due to the extra safety option. But I will NOT if I cannot have a spare tire. Is there room to swap out the repair kit and put in a spare tire?

    Has anyone tried?
    (Sorry put in wrong topic)
    Thanks!

Some people have done it here in the forum. There are a couple of threads on the procedure. I'm not willing to cut up my foam to try it. The model three has a spare tire and you can get it with most of the advanced features. What you can't get in the three is the JBL stereo, roadside assistance, cross traffic alert, and auto parking features.

Google "priuschat undelete the spare", for a recent thread. There's a bunch more too. My approach would to just lower my sights, get a level 2, 3 or 3 Touring. Or tell the salesman you'll buy 4 if they'll put in the complete spare, get a price for that. Or get a 2015?

that's what i would do, make it part of the deal. a few pieces of styrofoam and a tyre, no biggie for them, but a hassle for you to do it.
