I recently bought a Prius C (back in August) and I have been scouring the internet for details on the interior cargo space with the seats down but all websites say this information is TBD despite the car having been out for 6 years now, so I was wondering if this chat could help me! My uncle has a piece of furniture I want to go pick up from him in mid March. It's a hutch and the dimensions are 70 inches high, 36 inches wide, and 16 inches deep. I really don't want to drive all the way to Brooklyn just to find out it won't fit in my car and I haven't been in a position where I can measure my hatchback space myself. Does anyone have any specs on the interior space of the Prius C with the seats down and do you think I would be able to fit this piece of furniture in my car?
70" is enough to fill an Outback with the back seats down (we have one in addition to the c) and our c is a fair bit smaller.
I struggled to fit my 55" TV, in the box. I had rear seats down, and passenger seat down. It was laying diagonal across and the box was laying against the drivers seat... just barely fit.
I measured mine; it is about 39" wide wheel well to wheel well at rear hatch and a bit over 48 inches to back of front seat and 26" high at entrance to rear hatch
I don't think it will fit because of the width at 36". The driver's seat is the issue. 70" will get you very close to the dashboard lengthwise, but you only have approx. 29-30" available in width from pax armrest to edge of driver's seat! YMMV but not by much Oh, this is in a C1.
Any update? Or did we get drive-by posted? Worst case, you can run to Home Depot and rent their truck for $20/hour.
