Got word that my C3 will be ready to pick up on Tuesday. Exciting!

Does anyone know at what point the gas engine kicks in? Is it still around 42 mph?

    Is it logistics?
    Or marketing?
    Or random chance?

Why are C's available first in Hawaii?

I'm cool with it...just wonder if there is some method to this reality...or if it's just random chance based on transport ships...

Because Hawaii Toyota dealers are not under Toyota
    USA, or something like that.....

I know, I was confused as well as I always thought
that Hawaii was a state of the United States, and like
any other state in the U.S. under Toyota U.S.A...

Who knows? but it sure is nice. We are usually a month or 3 behind the mainland when it comes to new stuff.
    THANKS, TOYOTA!

IIRC - in the EV mode - the gas engine kicked in at 25 MPH. I would imagine it's the same in the ECO mode. But I'm new to the world of Prius...:)

I'm jealous - I passed on the Habanero so I'll have to wait till at least April for my Summer Rain C II.

If the c's get here Sunday night or Monday morning, it's going to be a feeding frenzy! Our gas just hit $4.40 here this weekend.

I guess a lot of people are going to pay the dealers "high mark"up this monday ....

people are lucky in Hawaii their Out-The-Door price comes to $21,993
    for a Prius C with Trim 2

Does the dealer charge $220 for color of the car?
how much is the actual destination fee?

The only way to get the fake leather seats is on the level 4 package right?

As far as I know only Blizzard Pearl has a additional fee due to it being three step paint finish.

This is what the dealer's charge is: Toyota Prius C - trim II

Add $800 freight, $220 pearl white paint, and mats

(i guess in these very -very HARD economic times --"it is what it is" --as quoted :))
