Prius C One rear speakers

    Hi everyone, I really like the basic sound system of my Prius C One and I want to add the rear speakers, is it possible? How do I make the connection for the rear speakers?

    Yes, it is possible to add rear speaker yourself.
    You may want to go to Crutchfield. They would normally sell speaker with decent price AND they will give you some additional wiring and installation manual for Prius C. Once you buy the speaker units from Crutchfield, you also need to buy 18-gauge or 20-gauge speaker wire, at least 20 feet long for each speaker.
    Running the wire from the head unit through the body panel to rear door is quite easy. All the trim panel is plastic that you can remove and reinstall easily. The only "big" problem that I had was to run the wire from the body to the rear door. Some guys in this site suggested drilling the harness on the car itself. I couldn't pass the idea of breaking the car, so I let the wire dangling from the body panel to the rear door. Since the wire is still unseen 99% of them time, then I'm OK with that.
    Attached is the wiring diagram of the standard audio head unit. As you can see, the rear speaker is connected to the 6-PIN connector unit. This is the only missing piece that I had hard time finding out.

    Well, I tried to connect the rear speakers but the factory harness only had one wire, had to buy a replacement harness but at least the speakers and the wire are already set up
