I was told by the dealer that he can get a Prius c with a sunroof. he went on to say that it is different then the sunroof in the larger Prii. I did not ask him how it is different. Does anybody know what the difference is with the sunroof in the Prius c? Yes I will go back and ask him, but I thought maybe somebody would know in here. if you do, please feel free to share the information with me. Thanks

The c does not have the Solar Powered Ventilation System and Remote Air Conditioning System.

And the c's power moonroof is one-touch (open/close). The Liftback's moonroof is only one-touch open.

So what Prius would I have to get if I wanted the functions you mention above? Regarding what the Moderator said, as far as one touch for the Liftback are you saying that moonroof is only open? it does not close?

I understood you were comparing the liftback (the current version is known on these forums as the Gen III and you'll find another section devoted to it) and the c.

You would obviously be able to close the moonroof but I'm not an expert on how that control differs.

my original post was asking if anybody has a Prius c with a sun)moon) roof. If so, do they know what the difference is between the moon roof on the regular Prius and the Prius C. You went on in your earlier post telling me what the Prius c does NOT have and I was asking you if the things you mentioned the Prius c does not have are they related to the moon roof?

Is what you posted, "The c does not have the Solar Powered Ventilation System and Remote Air Conditioning System." part of the moon roof or something totally different?

I don't have a liftback but I guess he's saying: "one touch" = "press and release".

This is precisely the question I answered.

Of course, otherwise I would not have mentioned them. Or posted at all.

The regular Prius liftback moonroof has features I listed. The Prius c moonroof does not. You asked "Does anybody know what the difference is with the sunroof in the Prius c?" and I directly answered your question and identified the features that are missing on the c. I'm really not sure how else to explain it... perhaps visit the Toyota website if this still isn't clear?

I have a prius liftback and my gf has a prius c both with the moonroof.
My moonroof opens by lifting and sliding back over the back half of the roof (in my case the solar panel).
My gf's moonroof opens by lowering and sliding into the roof so there is no glass overhang.

as far as 1 touch, I dont know about the C. Mine you hold to open and it automatically stops at a certain point. You can open it a bit more by holding the button again but thats it.

    Maybe some pics will help:

Prius Liftback Solar Panel Roof option

The front of the car is the towards the bottom right of the picture and the rear of the car is to the top left (You can see the rear window at the top left of the picture). The moonroof is the front part of the roof (where you can see into the interior and see the front seat). The solar panel is the rear half of the roof.

Here's how the moonroof looks like when it's open:

And now here's a Prius c from one of our members

It looks like a moonroof from a regular car.

Of course it closes! One touch means automatic. So one touch open = auto-open just by pressing the button briefly as opposed to holding it until it opens.
